The role of land market in the adaptation of agriculture to climate change, at The French convergence institute CLAND and Paris-Saclay Applied Economics (PSAE),

Candidate profile:

  • Strong command of data management and conducting independent applied econometric analyses. Command of R programming and GIS is a plus.
  • Familiar with recent economic research on climate change, land market or land use changes. Specifically, knowledge of the impacts of climate change on agriculture and related adaptation strategies is a plus.
  • PhD in Economics
  • Willing to take the initiative and the ambition to pursue a scientific career.
  • Documented experience in scientific writing and publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Good English communication skills. Knowledge of French language is facultative

Scientific context:

Paris-Saclay Applied Economics is the economic research unit of the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment (INRAE) in Paris-Saclay.   • You will study how the land market functioning in France and Europe affects the adaptation of agriculture to climate change.
  • You will work at the Paris-Saclay Applied Economics research unit in close collaboration with the CLAND community of the University Paris-Saclay.

Duration :

after October 1, 2022 or as soon as possible after that date, 2 years-duration

Localisation :

New Paris-Saclay Campus (Palaiseau, 40 minutes by public transports from downtown Paris)

Salary:

The salary is based on French standards and takes into account previous experiences.
