LabEx BASC

As part of the LabEx program (“Investments for the Future"), we contributed to the proposal of LabEx BASC (2012-2021).

This program brings together thirteen laboratories in a multidisciplinary research project focused on understanding and predicting the dynamics of socio-ecosystems in the context of global changes, particularly climate change. One unifying theme is the application of agroecology concepts and methods for increasing the viability and adaptability of agro- ecosystems and all agricultural lands. ECOSYS is a founding unit and participates in the Executive Committee (Pierre Cellier). ECOSYS has been particularly involved in for the responsibility for co-piloting flagship projects related to the climate (Pierre Cellier), peri-urban agriculture (Erwan Personne), integrated modeling (Benjamin Loubet), land-use changes (Benoît Gabrielle, Patricia Garnier), and the animation of soil networks (Enrique Barriuso, Céline Pelosi, Claire Chenu) and ecotoxicology networks (Christian Mougin).

As part of these flagship projects, LabEx BASC has funded numerous actions carried out by ECOSYS in the form of research projects, post-doctoral and internship grants and events. Between 2013 and 2018, ECOSYS had 25 separate operations funded by LabEx BASC, totaling €764,000.
