Le carbone organique stable plus sensible à la température que le carbone labile

Dans les sols, la matière organique est plus rapidement minéralisée quand la température augmente. Mais cela dépend-il de la matière organique considérée ? Cette question fait débat dans les plus grandes revues scientifiques.

Pour y répondre nous avons utilisé des échantillons de sols issus d’expériences de jachère nue de longue durée que nous avons incubé à différentes températures, mesurant le CO2 minéralisé.

Nous avons mobilisé des essais patrimoniaux INRA, AgroParisTech et d’universités étrangères, pour une question inédite par rapport à leurs objectifs initiaux.

Nous avons ainsi pu montrer sans ambiguïté que le processus de minéralisation est d’autant plus sensible à la température que la matière organique considérée est plus stable.
